Musculotendineous cuff

Definition: This is a fibrous sheath formed by four flattened tendons.They are:
1)      Subscapularis.
2)      Supraspinatus.
3)      Infraspinatus.
4)      Teres minor.
These muscles arises from the scapula and inserted into the lesser & greater tubercle of humerus.


Function: The cuff gives strength to the capsule of shoulder joint all around except inferiorly.
