Lumber plexus

Formation: It is formed by the ventral rami of 1^st ,2^nd,3^rd, lumber nerves and greater part of the ventral rami of 4^th lumber nerve. First lumber receives a branch from 12^th thoracic nerve.

Branches:

1)      Ilio-inguinal nerve.

2)      Ilio-hypogastric nerve.

3)      Genitor femoral nerve.

4)      Femoral nerve.

5)      Obturator nerve.

6)      Accessory obturator nerve.

7)      Lateral cutaneous nerve of thigh.
