Hip-Knee-Ankle-Foot orthosis (HKAFO




Principle:
  1. -          This device is used on patients requiring more stability of the hip and lowers torso, due to paralysis and weakness in addition to the lower extremity involvement.
  2. -          The brace will provide pelvic stability in several planes, from rotation, to side to side and front to back motions.

Indication:
  1. -          Whenever the muscles controlling the hip and its stability are strained or weak.
  2. -          HKAFO’s are used for patient with:

→Paraplegia
→Spinal bifida
→Recurent hip dislocation and other high neurological impairments
