Q: No: 01: a) Define sedative and hypnotic. Enumerate some clinically used sedative & hypnotics. Justify benzodiazipines are better hypnotic than barbiturates.

b) Mention the central pharmacological effects of morphine. Give its contraindicaitons. Name some anti-tussive drugs.

c) Classify muscle relaxants. Mention the indications and adverse effects of gluco corticoids.

d) Write short notes on: i) Lidocaine ii) Ketorolac

b) What do you mean by general anaesthesia? What are the objectives of general anaesthesia? Mention the drugs used in pre-anaesthetic medicine.
